Resources to Register to Vote

This post serves as a guide for resources and community support in and around Long Beach, CA. With the California Primary election coming up on June 1st, it is important to register to vote or to double check to confirm you are registered to vote in the county you reside in. You can find information on how to register to vote and track your individual vote through the California Secretary of State website. Through the website you can find information on:

  • Registering to vote

  • Pre-registering to vote

  • Checking your registration status

This website also has important information such as documents you will need for each process as well as deadlines. For example, there is a 15-day deadline to register to vote early before election day. In the upcoming election on June 1, 2026, registration needs to be submitted by May 17th, this is 15 days before the election day. If you try after, you will have to wait until election day and fill out a same-day voter registration.

Vote.gov also provides vital information regarding the voting registration process. Not only that, they provide a guide to the overall voting process (for new and familiar voters alike).

The City of Long Beach’s website also provides Voter Information with voting options (mail-in, online, phone), a sample ballot, ballot tracking options, and registration options. Plus, most post offices and city halls display mail-in voter registration cards, for anyone to pick up, fill out, and mail in, no postage necessary.
