Project Dignity & Community Resources
On February 14, 2022, Project Dignity began as a small, community-led outreach focused on building connection between housed and unhoused neighbors through shared food and conversation in Central Long Beach’s MacArthur Park. The park was a hub of connection and advocacy from 2022-2025.
After the park was re-constructed and re-opened, outreach efforts have moved mobile to meet people where they are away from the families, neighbors, and community groups who use the park on a daily basis.
Project Dignity now facilitates collective outreach two to three times per month, providing mutual aid, system navigation, and peer-based support. Our work remains grounded in dignity, collaboration, and community-driven care and advocacy.
